Real warranty on real work. If the fault we fixed comes back within the warranty period, we re-fix it free — labour and parts.

What’s Covered

Same fault returns

If the exact issue we fixed reappears within the warranty period — fully covered. Labour and replacement parts free.

Related component failure

If a clearly related component fails because of our repair (rare), covered.

Replacement part defect

If the replacement part we installed turns out to be faulty, we replace it free.

Workmanship issues

If our soldering, reassembly, or calibration causes a problem within warranty — we fix it.

What’s NOT Covered

Physical damage after repair

Drops, impact, liquid spill, screen crack from external force — these are new incidents, not warranty.

Unrelated new failures

If we replaced your battery and 60 days later your screen fails, that’s a new issue (we’ll quote it separately).

Tampering after our repair

If another shop opens the device after our repair (or you DIY it), warranty void on that component.

Wear and tear of consumables

Battery health degradation over normal use, keyboard wear from heavy typing, etc. — normal lifecycle, not warranty.

Claiming Warranty — 4 Steps

Save Your Receipt

Every MacLab repair comes with a written receipt detailing what was fixed, parts used, and warranty period. Keep it (we also have a copy on file).

Notice the Issue

If the same fault returns within warranty (or a clearly related fault), don’t try DIY fixes — call us first.

We Re-Fix Free

Same fault under warranty = no charge for labour or parts. If a new and unrelated issue is found, we’ll quote it separately (you can decline).

Why Different Periods for Different Repairs?

Chip-level work has the longest warranty (90 days) because we have the most control over outcome — we own the diagnosis, the part selection, and the soldering quality.

Battery, screen, and keyboard replacements get 30 days because they involve consumables / mechanical parts where issues that emerge later are usually external (drops, wear, environmental). Within 30 days, any defect is on us. After that, normal product life applies.

Selling your MacBook? The warranty stays with the device, not the original buyer. Just give the new owner the original receipt.
